MAIN OBJETIVES

Objetivos del ICVV
  • To generate knowledge on the basic biological and physical-chemical processes which are responsible for the different quality parameters of grapes and wine.
  • To develop environmentally-friendly farming procedures contributing to the maintenance of the viticultural agro-system.
  • To analyze wine and its production process from the basis of its contribution to health and food safety.
  • To develop new processes, products and innovation technologies to generate quality, safe and healthy wines, which are competitive in the international market.
  • To enhance sector competitiveness through the transfer of technology and research results.
  • To support the university education in viticulture and oenology, especially at post-graduate levels (Master and PhD levels).
  • To generate a critical mass of experienced researchers investigators and qualified technicians in different research fields.
