MAIN OBJETIVES

Objetivos del ICVV
  • To generate knowledge about the basic biological and physical-chemical processes which are responsible for the different quality parameters of grapes and wine.
  • To develop environmentally-friendly farming procedures in order to contribute to the maintenance of the viticultural agricultural system.
  • To analyse wine and its production process on the basis of its contribution to health and food safety.
  • To develop new processes, products and innovation technologies when producing quality wines, being safe, with healthy properties apart from being competitive in the international market.
  • To empower the competitivity in the sector by means of the transference of technology and results of the investigations.
  • To support the university education in viticulture and oenology, especially as regards post-degree stages (PhD degrees).
  • To constitute a critical group of expert investigators and highly qualified technicians from different scientific fields.
