Researchers of BIOVITIS and VIENAP Groups from the ICVV together with the Axencia Galega da Calidade Alimentaria participate in the GREENVITISV Project, led by the Company I-Grape Laboratory S.L. This project corresponds to the 2021 call for the Public-Private Collaboration Projects, belonging to the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023 to Promote Scientific-Technical Research and its Transfer, and within the Framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
In order to contribute to the circular economy and sustainability of the agricultural sector, GREENVITISV project proposes to develop products from the grape marc, mainly: 1) Phytosanitary-pesticide products formulated to be used, instead of synthetic pesticides, against the most common diseases in vineyards; 2) Antioxidant and preservative products to be used in the winery as substitutes for sulfur dioxide, the most commonly additive used in the wine industry.
The CPP2021-008765 project is co-founded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union-NextGenerationEU/PRTR, and has a total budget of 395,266.41 €, of which 116,320.00 € corresponds to the ICVV groups. The project has a duration of 3 years (2022-2025).
